Now that Valentine’s Day is over, we’ve hit the last stretch of winter that always seems to drag. It’s so easy to get into a funk this time of year with the cold weather and short days.
But this year, I think I’ve conquered my winter blues by focusing on coziness. You see, I recently read a great article about Norway, where the sun doesn’t rise above the horizon from late November to late January. Now that Christopher has reached toddlerhood, holidays have taken on a whole new level of fun. Our grocery store puts up a pretty impressive valentine display with red foil hanging decorations, balloons, and stuffed animals, and Christopher LOVES it. He gasps every time we walk in and points at everything.
I thought it would be fun this year if Christopher sent cards to a couple of his valentines (with a little help from me, of course).
These days, I prescribe to a pretty minimal makeup routine. If I’m home for the day, I usually skip it altogether.
